In 2019–2021 I was approached by Health Literacy NZ with a request to create a small 8 page informational comic on Leni and his journey with gout. The goal was to educate people recently diagnosed with gout, and their whānau, on the way gout works and treatment options.
This project had a tight timeline and budget, which I adhered to. HLNZ has come back to me numerous times after initial publication in order to update the document with the latest information. One challenge I overcame was working with the large amount of provided dialog, fitting both text and illustration on an A5 document.
